Joyce University in the Portland area is seeking a Part-Time Clinical Nursing Instructor to mentor nursing students in local clinical sites while continuing your own nursing practice. The role emphasizes translating real-world nursing experience into classroom learning, coaching students to build clinical skills, judgment, and confidence across the curriculum.

A current Oregon RN license and a Master’s in Nursing are required.

Qualifications

Current, unencumbered RN license in the State of Oregon.
Master's degree in Nursing.
2–3 years of clinical nursing experience.

Responsabilités

Guide nursing students through hands‑on clinical experiences in local healthcare settings
Connect real‑world nursing practice to what students are learning in their courses
Coach and mentor students as they develop clinical skills, judgment, communication, and confidence
Observe student performance and provide meaningful feedback and evaluation
Recognize opportunities for additional support and help students develop through coaching and remediation
Collaborate with Joyce faculty and staff to support a consistent, student‑centered learning experience
Stay current in your nursing practice and bring current clinical knowledge into your teaching
Participate in select university activities such as faculty meetings, pinning ceremonies, and graduation
