Job Description

Chamberlain College of Nursing seeks Part-Time Clinical Instructors for our Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at the Irwindale, CA campus. #on-site

You will mentor students in inpatient clinical settings, connecting classroom and simulation learning to real-world patient care. This helps ensure students are well-prepared and confident healthcare providers.

Clinicals are scheduled in your choice of the following areas:

• North and South Los Angeles County
• Orange County
• Riverside County
• San Bernardino County
• Santa Clarita Valley
• San Fernando Valley

Required commitment is one 8-12 hour shift per week for each 8-week session at one of our partner sites.

• Adult Health I & II (Med-Surg)
• Advanced Adult Health (Med-Surg)
• Complex Health (Critical Care)
• Community Health
• Capstone Final Practicum
• Fundamentals
• Maternal Child
• Mental Health
• Pediatrics

Candidates with a completed MSN are encouraged to apply; teaching experience is not required.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver courses based on approved syllabi, following campus templates and including course objectives.
• Prepare, revise, and update all course materials regularly.
• Utilize appropriate technological tools and online platforms for course delivery and communication.
• Model effective communication to engage students and enhance learning.
• Set clear expectations regarding course objectives, schedules, and evaluation criteria.
• Ensure exam content aligns with course objectives and provide timely feedback.
• Perform other duties as assigned and adhere to all policies and standards.

Qualifications:

• Master's in Nursing (MSN) or doctoral degree (DNP/PhD) in nursing from an accredited institution.
• Unencumbered Californian nursing license.
• Active BLS certification (AHA, ARC, or Military).
• At least two years of recent professional nursing instruction experience.

Additional Information
