Advanced Med-Surg Part-time Clinical Nursing Faculty - Southern CA

Chamberlain University seeks Part-Time Clinical Instructors for our Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at the Irwindale, CA campus.

You will mentor students in inpatient clinical settings, connecting classroom learning and simulations to real-world patient care. Clinicals are scheduled in Riverside or Van Nuys areas, requiring one 8 or 12-hour weekday shift per week during each 8-week session.

This role focuses on Advanced Adult Med-Surg, where students practice nursing skills in healthcare centers, expanding their practice scope. No teaching experience is required; solid clinical experience and an MSN are encouraged.

Responsibilities include:

• Implementing curriculum and clinical teaching standards.
• Supervising and evaluating students' nursing care.
• Developing clinical assignments tailored to students' skills and learning needs.
• Providing feedback and remediation as needed.
• Maintaining knowledge of clinical policies and procedures.
• Possibly teaching didactic content under supervision.
• Collaborating with staff and faculty to improve student satisfaction and program quality.
• Serving as a professional role model and ensuring compliance with standards.

Qualifications:

• MSN or DNP/PhD in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution.
