Job Description

Chamberlain College of Nursing seeks Part-Time Clinical Instructors to teach students in our BSN program at our Irwindale, CA campus.#on-site

You will mentor students in person at inpatient clinical settings, connecting classroom and simulation learning with real-world patient care, ensuring students are well-prepared and confident in providing high-quality care.

Clinical areas include:

• North and South Los Angeles County
• Orange County
• Riverside County
• San Bernardino County
• Santa Clarita Valley
• San Fernando Valley

Commitment involves one 8-12 hour shift per week during each 8-week session at clinical partner sites.

Applicants with an MSN are encouraged to apply; teaching experience is not required.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver courses following the Adtalem Global Education syllabus template, including course objectives.
• Organize, prepare, and update all course materials regularly.
• Utilize appropriate online technologies and software for course delivery and accessibility.
• Model effective communication to engage students and enhance learning.
• Set clear course expectations, including objectives, assessment dates, and evaluation criteria.
• Ensure exam content aligns with course objectives and grade exams fairly, providing timely feedback.
• Perform other duties as assigned and comply with policies and standards.

Qualifications:

• Master's in Nursing (MSN) or DNP/PhD in nursing from a regionally accredited institution.
• Unencumbered California RN license.
• Active BLS certification (AHA, ARC, or Military).
• At least two years of recent professional nursing instruction experience.

Additional Information

The expected compensation rate is $65/hour for the first 8 hours/day and $97.50/hour for overtime hours over 8 per day. Our hiring team is available to discuss salary requirements and answer questions.
