Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Nurse Educator for a dual role: 0.6 FTE in department-based education and 0.4 FTE in RN staffing support in the Emergency Room. The role emphasizes staff development, patient care, and hands-on education.

The educator will mentor staff, participate in onboarding, and collaborate with unit leadership to identify and address educational needs, ensuring high-quality nursing practice across the ED.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in nursing required or Diploma in Nursing with Bachelor's in a health-related field.
• Current Illinois nursing licensure; specialty certification preferred with 1-year to obtain if not held.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in a hospital or academic setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as needed and act as clinical resource for staff.
• Mentor and role-model for new and existing staff; contribute to onboarding and competency development.
• Coordinate and deliver unit-based education and staff development activities.
• Partner with Clinical Nurse Manager to assess education needs and drive staff performance improvements.
• Support unit safety, quality outcomes and patient experience through education initiatives.
