Job summary

NUWAY Alliance in Maplewood is seeking a Chemical Dependency Technician (CD Tech) for a part-time role on the 3rd shift. You will support clients through admission and discharge, assist counselors, and help manage crises within a behavioral health program.

Ideal candidates have experience in mental health or substance use services, are reliable, and can work weekday and weekend shifts with professionalism and discretion, while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Age 18 or older.
• First Aid/CPR certification and Medication Administration certificate.
• Able to pass Minnesota DHS background study.
• Ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficient in English and able to document services in writing.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients from admission through discharge and provide client support.
• Supervise and manage client behavior and handle crises when necessary.
• Assist on-duty counselors in direct support of program goals.
• Respond to medical emergencies in a professional, therapeutic manner.
• Maintain client confidentiality per state and federal guidelines.
