Job summary

NUWAY Alliance is seeking a part-time Chemical Dependency Technician for our Maplewood location. The CD Tech will support clients from admission through discharge, supervise behavior, and assist on-duty counselors to achieve program goals.

Ideal candidates have prior experience in mental health or substance use treatment, are available both weekdays and weekends, and can work 3rd shift. The role emphasizes professionalism, client confidentiality, and crisis response when needed.

Qualifications

• Age 18 or older.
• Current First Aid/CPR and Medication Administration certs.
• Able to pass Minnesota DHS background study.
• English proficiency and ability to document in writing.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients from admission through discharge and provide support.
• Supervise and manage client behavior and assist in crisis situations.
• Assist on-duty counselors in direct support of program goals.
• Maintain client confidentiality per state/federal guidelines (HIPAA).
