Job summary

NUWAY Alliance in Maplewood is seeking a part-time Chemical Dependency Technician to support clients through admission to discharge in a behavioral health setting.

Responsibilities include supervising client behavior, assisting counselors, and responding to crises while upholding confidentiality and HIPAA requirements. Must be 18+, with First Aid/CPR and state requirements, and able to document in English.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Current First Aid/CPR certification and Medication Administration certificate within 30 days of starting.
• Able to pass Minnesota DHS background study.
• Ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds.
• Able to document services in English.

Responsibilities

• Support clients from admission to discharge within the treatment process.
• Supervise and manage client behavior and assist on-duty counselors.
• Respond to medical emergencies in a professional, confidential manner.
• Maintain client confidentiality per HIPAA and state/federal guidelines.
