Job summary

NUWAY Alliance is seeking a Chemical Dependency Technician for our Maplewood location. You will support clients from admission through discharge, assisting counselors and maintaining a therapeutic, professional environment.

The role requires handling crises professionally, maintaining confidentiality, and documenting services in English. Weekend and 2nd shift availability are expected, with a competitive pay rate and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Age 18 or older.
• Current First Aid/CPR certification and Medication Administration certificate (Residential only) obtained within 30 days of starting work.
• Able to pass Minnesota DHS background study.
• Ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiently understand, follow instructions, and communicate effectively in English.
• Able to effectively document services in writing formatted in English.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients from admission through discharge providing support through the treatment process.
• Supervise and manage client behavior and help manage crises when necessary.
• Assist on-duty counselors in direct support of program goals and objectives.
• Respond professionally to medical emergencies and maintain confidentiality as required.
