Job summary

NUWAY Alliance is seeking a Chemical Dependency Technician to join The Gables team in Minneapolis (Rochester title). The role supports clients through admission to discharge, helps counselors, and manages crises with professionalism while maintaining confidentiality.

Requires First Aid/CPR and DHS background clearance; weekend availability preferred. This part-time position offers a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment within NUWAY Alliance's behavioral health programs, with opportunities to

Qualifications

• Age 18 or older.
• First Aid/CPR certification and Medication Administration certificate (for Residential only) within 30 days of starting.
• Able to pass Minnesota DHS background study.
• Ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiently understand, follow instructions, and communicate in English; document services in writing.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients from admission through discharge and support treatment goals.
• Supervise and manage client behavior; assist on-duty counselors as needed.
• Respond professionally to medical emergencies and maintain client confidentiality per HIPAA.
