Job summary

Aveo’s Redmond Park Retirement Living in Princes Hill is seeking a hands-on Chef Manager to lead the kitchen and deliver exceptional dining for residents. You will manage daily meals, supervise a small hospitality team, and build friendly relationships with residents.

This permanent part-time position runs Tuesdays and Fridays from 12:00pm to 8:00pm, with competitive pay of $37.57/hr plus superannuation and entitlements. Join a caring team committed to high standards of service.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Chef in retirement villages, aged care, cafes, or similar settings.
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (required).
• Current Police Check clearance.
• Kitchen management experience (stock ordering, rostering and admin).

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for all kitchen and dining operations - preparing meals for lunch & dinner services and creating fresh ideas in the kitchen.
• Work closely with the team to deliver great service, ensure the restaurant is running smoothly and coordinating ideas for events and functions.
• Monitor daily Food Safety and compliance checklists and ensure strict adherence to OH&S policies.
• Complete stock management of all goods including ordering, rotation and amendments.
