Job summary

Century Park Associates is seeking a part-time cook to prepare nutritious meals with a hospitality focus for residents. The role reports to the Dining Services Director and requires compliance with all laws, regulations and company standards.

Responsibilities include ensuring timely meal service, checking menus, preparing meals to nutritional specs, garnishing plates, and assisting with special events while maintaining a clean, sanitized kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have 1 year scratch food preparation experience.
• Must have prior experience regularly preparing meals for large groups.
• Must be ServSafe certified.

Responsibilities

• Maintains system to ensure timely meal services.
• Checks daily menu and events calendar to ensure food and supplies are available.
• Prepares meals meeting nutritional requirements and appealing presentation.
• Season food and garnish plates to enhance dining experience.
• Prepare food based on standardized recipes and substitutions as authorized.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently and maintain sanitation.
