Job summary

Georgia Aquarium is seeking a Part-Time Team Specialist I in Entertainment to perform as a mascot in Atrium, Galleries, and Plaza. You will support live productions, mascot activations, and special events, while maintaining safety and guest engagement.

Responsibilities include appearing as a character, assisting with production duties, and helping ensure smooth operations during rehearsals and events. Flexibility for early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of theatre, film, music, or live performance experience.
• 1+ year of customer service in a fast-paced environment preferred.
• Experience with live entertainment or special event production preferred.
• Strong problem analysis and resolution skills.
• Ability to be flexible and shift priorities to meet departmental needs.

Responsibilities

• Appear as a Character Performer in Entertainment areas at the Aquarium, including mascot appearances.
• Move in mascot costumes, with stamina for up to 45 minutes per set and multiple sets per day.
• Serve as a Character Handler to ensure safety and timing of appearances.
• Support daily programming as a Production Assistant for Entertainment.
• Assist with seasonal events and stage operations as needed.
• Be a hospitality ambassador to Guests, providing information and friendly service.
• Adhere to schedules, participate in rehearsals, and maintain costumes and props.
