Job summary

Georgia Aquarium, Inc. is seeking a Seasonal Part-Time Team Specialist Level 1 in the Guest Programs department at our Atlanta location. The role engages guests, demonstrates animal knowledge, and supports educational experiences across exhibits.

Responsibilities include presenting floor experiences, ensuring guest and animal safety, guiding visitor learning, and assisting with special programs. Training is provided; eligibility includes a high school diploma and weekend/evening availability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Preferred college degree in biology, psychology, education, recreation, or related field.
• One year experience in guest or customer service.
• Formal training in marine biology or background in animal knowledge is a plus; training provided.
• Must pass background check.
• Must pass drug screening.
• Must be able to work flexible hours— including weekends and evenings — not to exceed 30 hours per week.
• Must be able to attend all required training.
• Training will occur throughout the year.

Responsibilities

• Present engaging floor experiences to Aquarium guests in various roles (touch pools, exhibits, rope bridge, etc.).
• Ensure guest and animal safety as top priority.
• Provide engaging, educational experiences through interpretation and conservation messaging.
• Staff indoor exhibit areas as needed and engage guests in conversation and activities.
• Guide the guest experience to ensure a memorable and safe visit.
• Set up and breakdown equipment and activities as necessary.
• Assist with special educational activities and programs.
• Communicate guest feedback to improve experience and satisfaction.
• Be an active part of the Aquarium team.
• Perform other duties as workload necessitates.
