Job summary

Barnes & Noble College is seeking a Part-Time Campus Store Team Member to join our vibrant campus hub. You will deliver exceptional customer service, assist students and faculty, and help maintain an organized, welcoming store environment.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, locating materials, handling transactions at the POS, and supporting inventory and daily store operations. Flexibility for evenings and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating a positive shopping experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with customers and teammates.
• Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or in a team.
• Flexible schedule year-round, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable service.
• Help customers locate course materials, supplies, apparel, gifts, and more.
• Operate the POS system to process transactions accurately.
• Keep the sales floor clean, organized, and stocked.
• Assist with inventory, receiving, and order fulfillment.
• Develop product knowledge about merchandise and store services.
• Collaborate with teammates to meet daily priorities amid changing needs.
• Contribute to a clean, safe store reflecting the Barnes & Noble College brand.
