Job summary

Barnes & Noble College is seeking a Seasonal Campus Store Team Member to deliver excellent customer service, assist with course materials, and maintain a well-stocked sales floor on campus. You will help customers find products, process transactions, and support daily store operations in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and a customer-first approach, with flexible scheduling including evenings and weekends during peak academic periods.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Passion for delivering exceptional service and a positive shopping experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or with a team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer experience by greeting customers and providing knowledgeable service.
• Assist customers in locating materials and merchandise.
• Operate the POS system to process transactions accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked sales floor.
• Support inventory, receiving, and order fulfillment tasks.
• Develop product knowledge to confidently assist customers.
• Collaborate with teammates to meet daily priorities.
