Illinois Wesleyan University seeks a part-time Communications Assistant/Dispatch to support the Campus Safety Main Office and Dispatch Center, capable of independent operation and supervising student workers during 2nd shift. Reliable on-site attendance is essential for campus safety communications.

Schedule: Mon-Tues 4pm-10pm; Wed 3:30pm-10pm; Thurs-Fri 4pm-10:30pm; 29 hrs/week for 12 months. Level 16: $17.06/hr with IWU benefits and visa-not sponsoring statements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED is required.
• One year of professional dispatch or operations experience is required.
• Clear verbal communication and professionalism in serving a diverse campus community.

Responsabilités

• Operates the IWU switchboard and phones, 2-way radio system; handles inquiries and dispatches officers.
• Issues IDs, parking passes, visitor passes, keys, and maintains related logs.
• Maintains records for Campus Safety calls and operations; supports emergency response and coordinates with responders.
