Job summary

Tolleson Elementary School District is seeking a part-time Bus Attendant for 10 months to support student safety on district buses. Immediate starting date; responsibilities include first aid, assisting drivers, monitoring students, and securing wheelchairs or equipment. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, a valid Arizona driver’s license with a clean record, and the ability to pass annual drug tests.

Bilingual ability is preferred but not required. Location: Tolleson, AZ.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED and/or equivalent work experience.
• Must possess a valid Arizona Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Able to pass annual drug tests as required.
• Bi-lingual preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Administers first aid for immediate emergency care.
• Assists bus drivers with the completion of work activities as needed.
• Monitors students on/around buses to ensure safety and welfare.
• Secures students/equipment with restraints for safety.
• Assists students with personal care requirements.
• Prepares incident reports and documents activities for follow-up.
• Reports observations/incidents to appropriate school personnel.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Support Services.
