Job summary

Elim Park Baptist Home in Cheshire, CT seeks a part-time Box Office Assistant for Nelson Hall. The role handles ticket sales in person, by phone, and online, delivering friendly service and maintaining records. You will support group sales, usher coordination, and show-night prep in a mission-driven, faith-based nonprofit setting.

Hours are 8–12 per week in a shared schedule; evenings and weekends required. Competitively paid with benefits after eligibility, and PTO accrual for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous sales or customer service experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with ticketing systems; Tix experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Process ticket sales in person, by phone, and online.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service and respond to patron inquiries.
• Develop group sales leads and assist with group sales and lunch reservations.
• Monitor attendance and box office sales and maintain accurate transaction records.
• Balance and secure the sales drawer and prepare routine sales reports.
• Prepare ticket orders and confirmations.
• Manage usher recruitment, scheduling, and assignments.
• Assist with show-night preparations, special events, promotions, and season launches.
• Maintain ticketing system information, including loading new seasons.
• Assist with administrative projects, mailings, and other duties as needed.
