LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time substitute teacher who can demonstrate biblical knowledge and strong teaching abilities. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who is caring, perceptive and proficient in guiding students.

The role includes completing substitute teacher training and teaching LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis, using the provided curriculum.

Qualifications

• Mature personal Christian faith aligned with LifeWise beliefs.
• Active participation in a local church with doctrine aligned to LifeWise Academy faith statement.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement LifeWise curriculum using provided lesson plans.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom following LifeWise policies.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Take attendance each class and provide records to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom.
• Know procedures for emergency situations.
• Act as LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community.
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and with the teacher.
