Job summary

LifeWise Academy in Ohio is seeking a part-time LifeWise Education teacher for grades 6-12 who demonstrates Bible knowledge, strong teaching skills, and active church involvement.

You will complete training, teach using LifeWise curriculum, maintain attendance and class rosters, and communicate with school personnel and volunteers.

A mature Protestant Christian faith and local church participation are required; prior teaching experience is preferred. This is a non-exempt, hourly position.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience (with students) in either a school or church setting
• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training
• Teach LifeWise Classes using the LifeWise curriculum and map out lesson plans
• Maintain accurate attendance records and class rosters
• Prepare lesson plans and materials for substitutes
• Establish a positive, organized classroom environment that fosters academic growth and spiritual development
• Communicate with program director, school personnel, and volunteers about schedules and student well-being
