Job summary

Butterfly Effects in Charlotte, NC is hiring a Child Interventionist/Behavior Technician or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for a part-time role. Shifts are M-F with either 3-7pm or 8-4pm, supporting children with autism under BCBA supervision.

You will implement behavior plans, monitor progress, and collaborate with families. The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma, has or is pursuing RBT certification, and demonstrates a passion for helping children.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Registered Behavior Technician Certification if already obtained.
• Passion for working with children.
• Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience with children is advantageous.
• Interest in ongoing development.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Implements individualized treatment plans under the direction of a BCBA.
• Observes, records, and reports on client progress daily.
• Manages challenging behaviors.
• Applies behavioral principles consistently in all interactions.
• Assists clients to acquire academic and life skills.
• Communicates professionally with parents, behavior analysts/consultants, trainers, and clients.
• Functions as an active member of the treatment team.
• Completes daily paperwork and data entry in the online database.
• Actively participates in continuous training programs to increase skills.
• Maintains confidentiality of client information.
• Follows Butterfly Effects policies and procedures.
