Qualifications

• Approximately 5+ years of U.S. HR experience with independent ownership of HR operations.
• Strong knowledge of California employment practices and when to escalate to counsel.
• Experience supporting payroll, benefits, recruiting, onboarding, and performance management.
• Excellent discretion, written and verbal communication, organization and follow‑through.
• Based in the San Francisco Bay Area with ability to attend the Union City office when needed.

Responsibilities

• Own core HR operations, employee lifecycle processes, personnel records and confidential documentation.
• Coordinate recruitment, interviews, offers, onboarding, and offboarding with hiring managers and partners.
• Oversee HR inputs for payroll, timekeeping, leave, PTO and benefits administration with providers.
• Advise managers on employee relations, performance management and workplace concerns.
• Maintain HR policies, employee handbook procedures and consistent communications.
• Support compliance with federal, California and local employment requirements.
• Coordinate with external payroll, benefits, legal and HR advisers as needed.
• Provide practical people-ops recommendations to leadership and follow through on resolutions.
