Job summary

Community Solutions for Children, Families, and Individuals is seeking a progressive HR Business Partner to join our People & Culture Team in Gilroy, CA. This hybrid role requires on-site presence 3 days per week with occasional travel to San Jose and Morgan Hill.

You will represent HR, partner to foster belonging, advise on employee relations and policy compliance, and collaborate across HR, Recruitment, Training, and Programs to drive culture initiatives and data-driven HRIS improvements.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ progressive experience in human resources.
• 2+ years in an HR generalist or business partner role.
• Thorough knowledge of CA employment law.
• Experience navigating complex employee relations challenges with a human-centered approach.
• Employee-centered and compassionate approach.
• Led or mentored others.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Familiar with HRIS software and data presentation tools.

Responsibilities

• Represent HR and be a primary contact for HR matters.
• Partner to sustain inclusive culture and sense of belonging.
• Counsel management on employee relations, performance, policy and compliance.
• Advise on employee relations matters and investigations with equity and EI.
• Collaborate with Recruitment on talent strategies.
• Provide coaching and training on leadership in a union environment.
• Work cross-functionally with HR, Recruitment, Training and Programs.
• Provide HRIS administration, reporting, audits, and record retention.
• Maintain accuracy of HRIS data and implement improvements.
• Propose, publish, and administer personnel policies.
• Lead large-scale cultural change initiatives.
