This is a part-time position. The primary responsibility is to take excellent care of our customers by satisfying their needs, exceeding expectations, and making every shopping visit pleasant and satisfying. Responsibilities include following correct bagging procedures, providing carryout and parcel pickup services, loading merchandise into customer vehicles, and returning shopping carts to the store.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities. Associates must be at least 16 years old.
Personal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to participate in and complete required training, and to work with the team to increase customer satisfaction and sales.
Language Skills: Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to write simple correspondence in English. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to English-speaking customers, clients, and associates.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to understand and carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Complete company training including new hire orientation, customer service, safety, technical skills, and product knowledge.
Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk, hear, and smell. Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must regularly lift/move up to 40 pounds and reach from 6 to 72 inches. Specific vision abilities include close vision and depth perception.
