Job description

Job Title: Bagger

This is a part-time position with the primary responsibility to take excellent care of our customers by satisfying each customer's needs, exceeding their expectations, and making every shopping visit a pleasant and satisfying experience. Responsibilities include following correct bagging procedures, providing carryout and parcel pickup service, loading merchandise into customer vehicles, and returning shopping carts into the store.

Personal Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to participate in and successfully complete required training and to work with the team to increase customer satisfaction and sales.

Language Skills

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
• Ability to write simple correspondence in English.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other associates who speak only English.

• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers.

Complete company's training, including new hire orientation, customer service network, safety, bagger technical skills, and product knowledge.

Physical Demands

The physical demands include standing, walking, using hands, reaching, talking, hearing, smelling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Must regularly lift/move up to 40 pounds and reach from 6 to 72 inches. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and depth perception.

Compensation

• Pay Transparency: Harris Teeter reasonably expects to pay between $13.50/hour and $18.75/hour for this role, depending on previous experience and skill sets.
