Job summary

Santa Rosa Junior College (SRJC) is establishing a pool of associate faculty for the Behavioral Sciences Department. Assignments may be temporary, part-time and/or on-call and may occur evenings, weekends, online or hybrid, on-site at SRJC campuses in Santa Rosa and Petaluma.

Minimum qualifications include advanced degrees in anthropology/archaeology or related combinations with sociology/biological sciences, or equivalent, plus a commitment to diversity and equity.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications exactly as listed: Anthropology/Archaeology master’s or related combo with master’s in Sociology/biological sciences/forensic sciences/genetics/paleontology, or equivalent.
• Sensitivity to diverse backgrounds of community college students.
• Life California Community College Instructors Credential in Anthropology or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and faculty support to students, including evening/weekend/online/hybrid assignments.
• Offer academic assistance to students during scheduled office hours.
• Maintain currency in field(s) of expertise and focus on instruction and student services.
