Job summary

Dollar Tree in Mary Esther, FL is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, help customers, and supervise and train Store Associates while ensuring a safe, clean environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives related to store activities and promotional materials.
• Maintain store fixtures, displays, and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist with ordering, damaged merchandise processing, payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect store assets, including cash, and follow safety policies.
• Train and develop Store Associates; supervise under Store Manager.
