Job summary

Family Dollar in Clearwater, FL is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee daily store operations, customer service, and team development. The role focuses on ensuring smooth functions, training staff, and upholding company standards.

You will assist with merchandise, loss prevention, and opening/closing procedures, while maintaining a safe, friendly environment for customers and associates. Prior retail management experience is preferred, with strong communication and problem-solving

Qualifications

Store management experience in retail, grocery, or related environment is preferred.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and deliver excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
Assist in organizing merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal displays.
Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
Maintain promotional fixtures and displays to ensure effectiveness.
Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll/scheduling/cash handling, and loss prevention.
Maintain a clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
