Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Florida LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, deliver excellent customer service, and develop the store team. The role involves assisting with merchandise handling, inventory, payroll tasks, and loss prevention to maintain a high-performing environment.

The position requires strong communication skills, experience in store management, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, and records (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits).
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and secure assets.
• Supervise, train, and develop store associates; ensure safety and professionalism.
