Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Florida LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee store operations, deliver excellent customer service, and develop a high-performing team.

In this role you will assist with daily store functions, organize merchandise, supervise staff, open and close procedures, and ensure compliance with company policies. You will also contribute to a safe, welcoming environment for customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required/preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Support in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits and receipts, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Ensure compliance with policies and safety guidelines; train and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentable store environment.
