Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Tampa to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help with opening/closing procedures, organize merchandise from delivery to sales floor, and ensure seasonal areas are maintained.

The role involves accompanying daily tasks, supervising Store Associates, and upholding safety and store standards in a fast-paced retail environment. This part-time position requires strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail store management experience in grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and organizational skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Provide friendly customer service and address questions.
• Help organize merchandise from delivery to floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening/closing procedures and process corporate directives.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain store cleanliness and asset security.
• Coach and develop Store Associates; ensure a safe environment.
