Job summary

Dollar Tree in Ohio is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with functions, help customers, and ensure merchandise flows smoothly from delivery to sales floor.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to train and supervise store associates while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming shopping environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives (e.g., merchandise schematics) is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize, transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain store assets and conduct loss prevention activities.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and in payroll, scheduling, and cash handling tasks.
• Train and develop Store Associates; supervise as needed to maintain a safe, respectful environment.
