Dollar Tree in Kingsport, TN is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day functions, train associates, and ensure a clean, well-stocked store while maintaining a safe, friendly environment.

This part-time position requires strong communication, reliability, and physical stamina; duties include opening/closing, merchandising, and following corporate directives.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Retail management experience preferred in store, grocery, or drug store environment.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties (standing, walking, stocking).
• Strong communication and customer service skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Mansioni

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives and related communications
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits) and loss prevention
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and train store associates
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Ensure a positive, safe environment with customers, associates, and leaders
• Maintain cleanliness of the store including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neatness
• Other duties as assigned
