Job summary

Dollar Tree in Williamsburg, VA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager part-time to help oversee store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily activities, ensure displays and stock are well-maintained, and support the Store Manager in staff training and store safety.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
• Excellent customer service and organizational abilities expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers with questions and concerns in a friendly manner.
• Move merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor as needed.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain and organize fixtures, displays, and stock areas.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and handling damaged goods.
• Ensure store areas are clean, stocked, and presentable.
• Protect store assets including cash and supplies.
• Support Store Manager in training and development of associates.
• Maintain a safe, positive environment for customers and staff.
• Follow safety guidelines and company policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
