Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development at our Williamsburg, VA location. You will assist with day-to-day store activities and supervise store associates.

Responsibilities include organizing merchandise from delivery to floor, maintaining displays, processing payroll and scheduling, and ensuring safety and policy compliance. The role requires strong communication, exceptional customer service, and the ability to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred; ability to read and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and daily activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow policies.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment and professional interactions.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including restrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
