Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with opening and closing procedures, merchandising, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling, and help train store associates.

You will maintain cleanliness, ensure safety, protect assets, and uphold company policies. The role requires strong communication, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily store operations and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Move merchandise from the delivery truck to stockroom and sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays and ensure store cleanliness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Train and supervise Store Associates.
• Protect store assets, including cash, and follow safety guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.
