Job summary

Family Dollar is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team growth. The role focuses on ensuring a positive shopping experience, maintaining store standards, and helping the Store Manager supervise and train associates.

Responsibilities include assisting with merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and loss prevention while upholding safety policies. The position is part-time and requires strong communication and teamwork in a fast-paced retail

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read and explain directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform the required physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor as needed.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain storefront fixtures and displays for promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll/scheduling, and cash handling.
