Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Louisiana LLC in Pleasant Hill, CA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will supervise daily activities, train associates, manage inventory, and help ensure a clean, safe shopping environment for customers.

The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to lift/move heavy items, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Supervise, train, and develop store associates.
