Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and explain directives.
• Retail store management experience preferred in grocery, drug store or similar environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing and pulling.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional displays and store-front fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll/scheduling/cash receipts, and loss prevention.
• Keep store areas clean, stocked, and organized to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and customer-friendly environment.
• Contribute to overall store cleanliness, including restrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
