Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, and organize merchandise across the sales floor and stockroom.

You will participate in opening/closing procedures and ensure store standards are upheld. The role involves supervising and training Store Associates, maintaining a safe environment, and handling cash-related duties per company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities and store operations.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Assist in organizing, transferring merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain store areas, including well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure all store assets, including cash.
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
