Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Glassboro, NJ to support store operations, customer service, and team development. The role involves overseeing daily activities, assisting customers, organizing merchandise, and ensuring compliance with policies and safety standards.

You’ll help supervise and train associates while maintaining a clean, welcoming store environment. The position emphasizes teamwork, strong communication, and the ability to handle high-energy retail settings

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; read and explain directives
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner
• Organize and transfer merchandise between delivery, stockroom, and sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives and store communications
• Maintain fixtures, displays, and promotional effectiveness
• Assist in ordering merchandise, process damaged items, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits
• Maintain clean, stocked sales floor and organized stockroom
• Protect store assets, including cash
• Ensure compliance with policies and safety guidelines
• Help Store Manager supervise and develop Store Associates
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and trash
• Other duties as assigned
