Job summary

The Greater Beverly YMCA (Beverly, MA) is seeking an Aquatics Program Monitor for a part-time position. You will greet swimmers, promote safety, and support swim team activities while maintaining a positive pool environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with equipment, supporting coaches during practices/meets, and following lifeguard directions. Must be 14+, CPR/First Aid certification preferred, and willing to learn YMCA Emergency Action Plans.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 14 years of age.
• Must hold or be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification.
• Must be familiar with or willing to learn YMCA Emergency Action Plans and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Greet swimmers and families in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment on the pool deck and during programs.
• Observe activities and promote safe behavior, alerting staff when needed.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free pool deck; assist with equipment setup and storage.
• Provide in-water support and demonstrations under coaches or instructors; assist with practices and meets.
• Follow directions from lifeguards, coaches, and supervisors; maintain a team-oriented attitude.
