Job summary

The Beverly & Soul Center YMCA in Beverly, MA is hiring part-time Swim Instructors to teach lessons to children and adults, using the YMCA Swim Curriculum and promoting water safety.

New hires will receive paid training, shadowing, mentoring, and ongoing professional development within a supportive aquatics team.

Qualifications include being at least 16 years old and possessing Lifeguarding/Swim Instruction certifications; willingness to obtain certifications is acceptable.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Current certifications in Lifeguarding/Swim Instruction, Pro CPR, First Aid, and Oxygen preferred - or willing to obtain.
• Positive attitude, love of the water, and desire to make a difference!

Responsibilities

• Teach swim lessons to children and adults of all ages and abilities.
• Lead engaging group and private lessons using the YMCA Swim Curriculum.
• Promote water safety while helping participants build confidence and achieve their goals.
• Create a positive, encouraging, and inclusive learning environment.
• Celebrate each swimmer's progress and make every lesson fun and meaningful.
