Job summary

The Salvation Army North & Central Illinois Division in New Albany, IN is seeking an Angel Tree Coordinator to assist with the development, implementation and review of the Angel Tree Program for the New Albany Corps, ensuring the mission is carried out.

You will interview and assess clients, coordinate with community partners, manage volunteer activities, maintain files in the TSAMM system, and provide Spanish interpretation as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks: A background check will be required and reviewed.
• Experience: Experience with event and volunteer software and working with multiple community agencies and sites preferred.
• Certifications: Safe from Harm training within first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Participate, as leader and team member, in interviewing, assessment, and approval of clients for Christmas assistance.
• Collaborate with community agencies to meet client needs.
• Maintain documentation in client files for input into TSAMM program.
• Assist with Angel Tree program operations: identify sponsors, obtain supplies, pack Angel Tree bags, recruit/train/coordinate volunteers, and coordinate Angel gift pickups.
• Provide interpretation for Spanish-speaking clients.
