USPI Odessa Endoscopy Center is seeking a Part Time Surgery Scheduler to join our fast-paced ambulatory center. The ideal candidate will handle scheduling from Monday to Friday, with some early mornings and late evenings as needed.

The role involves coordinating with doctors, anesthesia, labs, and insurance, collecting complete patient charts, and ensuring pre-certifications are in order. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Two years direct experience as a Scheduler in the medical field.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
• Outgoing, positive, proactive and a critical thinker.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgeries and coordinate with doctors, anesthesia, labs and insurance.
• Prepare detailed patient charts with procedure type, supplies and insurance data.
• Enter patient information into the computer system accurately.
• Coordinate pre-certifications/referrals with the Insurance Coordinator.
• Communicate with the OR Nurse Manager and administrators to adjust schedules as needed.
• Provide coverage for front office and other duties as required.
