Job summary

United Ground Express, Inc. is seeking a Customer Service / Baggage Service Agent to greet passengers, rebook itineraries when needed, and help ensure baggage moves smoothly for on-time flights.

You will operate reservation software, lift up to 70 lbs, work outdoors in all weather, and maintain composure while resolving passenger issues in line with company policies. This is an on-site role at the Fletcher, NC airport.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfortable using computers and reservation software.
• Must be able to read, write and understand English fluently.
• Must be able to lift and move bags up to 70 lbs.
• Available for all shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet passengers and provide a seamless check-in and ticketing experience.
• Use reservation software to rebook itineraries and issue boarding passes.
• Ensure passenger information is processed accurately and flights are on time.
• Resolve passenger issues due to flight interruptions per policy.
• May assist in Baggage Service Office to track baggage location and answer questions.
• Read and interpret baggage tags and cargo labels.
• Prepping and securing the aircraft for the next flight.
• Use radio devices to communicate with co-workers or flight crew.
• Lift baggage or cargo up to 70 lbs and push/pull carts as needed.
• Work outdoors in all temperatures and weather conditions.
