Job summary

United Ground Express, Inc. at Green Bay/Austin Straubel International Airport is hiring for an airport passenger services associate. The role covers greeting passengers, checking in travelers, issuing boarding passes, and collecting applicable fees using reservation software.

You will ensure accurate passenger data and on-time flight departures, while assisting with baggage handling and ground operations. Applicants should be able to work any shift, lift up to 70 lbs, and pass pre-employment

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must acquire and maintain credentials vital for the position including fingerprint clearance, local airport badging, and background check.
• Successful completion of pre-employment process which may include but not be limited to drug screen, hearing and vision check.
• Available to work any shift; day or night, weekends, and holidays; overtime may be required.
• Must be able to use radio equipment to communicate with co-workers or flight crew.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to carry, bend, lift and turn with bags and other items weighing up to 70 lbs.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Greeting passengers and providing a seamless check-in and ticketing experience.
• Use reservation/ticketing software to rebook itineraries, issue boarding passes, and handle fees.
• Ensure passenger information is accurate and flights depart on time.
• Resolve passenger issues per policies during flight interruptions.
• May assist in Baggage Service Office to track baggage and answer questions.
• Operate computers and mobile devices; adapt to new technologies.
• Lift and transfer baggage up to 70 lbs; handle up to 100 items per flight.
• Read baggage tags and cargo labels; prep aircraft for next flight.
• Communicate with crew via radio; comply with FAA and United regulations.
