Job summary

United Ground Express is seeking an airport operations associate at Hector International Airport in North Dakota. You will greet passengers, assist with check-in and ticketing, and rebook itineraries while ensuring accurate passenger data and on-time flights.

You will handle baggage, operate reservation systems, and resolve issues during disruptions in accordance with company policies. The role requires mobility, radio communication, and adherence to FAA regulations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must pass background checks and fingerprinting.
• Availability for day, night, weekends, and holidays; mandatory overtime may be required.
• Able to read, write and understand English; able to use radio devices to communicate.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must possess and maintain a valid US state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Greet passengers and provide a seamless check-in and ticketing experience.
• Use reservation/ticketing software to rebook itineraries, issue boarding passes, and collect applicable fees.
• Ensure passenger information is accurate and flights depart on time.
• Assist passengers with issues during flight interruptions in line with company policies.
• May assist in the Baggage Service Office to track baggage location and answer questions.
• Operate computers, mobile devices, and new technologies.
• Lift and handle baggage weighing up to 70 lbs.
• Communicate with coworkers or flight crew via radio devices.
• Comply with United and FAA regulations and policies.
• Prepare aircraft for next flight and perform exterior interior tasks.
• Drive ground equipment as needed and service aircraft lavatories.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
