Job summary

United Ground Express, Inc. in Allentown, PA is hiring airport customer service agents to greet passengers, rebook itineraries, issue boarding passes, and assist with baggage handling.

You will use reservation software, verify passenger details, and ensure on-time flights while delivering friendly, efficient service. Requirements include reading, writing, and speaking fluent English, physical ability to lift up to 70 lbs, and availability for day or night shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language.
• Comfortable working with computers, mobile devices, and new technologies.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. on a consistent basis.
• Available to work any shift including day/night, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greeting passengers and providing a seamless check-in and ticketing experience
• Use appropriate reservation/ticketing software to rebook itineraries, issue boarding passes, calculate and collect any appropriate fees
• Ensure passenger information is processed accurately and flights are sent out on time
• Listen to passengers and resolve their issues per company policies and procedures as a result of flight interruptions
• May work in the Baggage Service Office to track the location of baggage and handle passenger questions
• Prepping and securing the aircraft for the next flight
• Use radio electronic devices to communicate with co-workers or flight crew
• Ensure compliance with United and FAA regulations and policies
• Lift baggage, boxes, or cargo weighing up to 70 lbs throughout shift
• Push/pull loaded and empty carts during loading/unloading operations
• Ascend/descend jet-way stairs while carrying baggage
• Bend/stoop and crawl to move and stack/unstack cargo in aircraft
• Drive ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and bag carts
• Cleaning of the interior of the aircraft and aircraft lavatories
• Work outdoors in all temperatures and weather conditions
• May require lifting over 100 items for a single aircraft
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Must possess and maintain a valid US state driver's license
